Joomla Awards"UK Individual Contribution to Open Source" and "Best Linux / Open Source Project" for 2005 is JOOMLA!

On the hotseat with flying colors and pride as Joomla! won the two prestigious category at the Linux and Open Source Awards in London. It was a very momentous event for Joomla! as they participated in the Expo for the very first time.

Joomla! was also jubilant for grabbing the "UK Individual Contribution to Open Source" for 2005 which was won by core member Brian Teeman that made Joomla! featured in LinuxWorld Magazine. Mr Teeman’s triumph is a humble dedication to the open source community and in the IT field.

The article, written by the Editor in Chief (US Edition) Mark Hinkle, forecasts a "the new paradigm of IT buying" where "where you buy services rather than licenses". And Joomla! is high on Mark's list of candidates to meet future needs of IT users and administrators.
