This should not be done. Had I known, I would not have downloaded this component.

I have been looking for recommend component for my site www.freckles.bg. This one works gread but in my case I also need it to integrate with the virtuemart so that the referrer gets some commision for the sale made by his recomended friends. Does anyone know of components that does this.

i installed this component fien , just when i go to it and fill in the emails its not sending any, any thoughts ?

Try testing your contact component and see if you are receiving email. If not then there's your problem. Check your mail settings in Administrator Configuration.

just tried the contact componant and its working fine checked the admin config and all is fine there too its set on php mail function if that helps

What is your web server, PHP, Joomla version?

Version 1.0.12 php version 5.0.4 hope this helps

Look at the PHP 5.2 Changelog. There were a lot bugs on the early 5.0.x versions that were fixed in 5.2.0. You might want to ask your hosting to upgrade it to the latest version.

I searched high and low for a good recommend component that worked on the GoDaddy servers and was just thrilled when I found JomInvite. Sadly, I got it all ready, linked it up and when I tried to send an invite I got a message that said "The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu."

Suspicious of a conflict with OpenSEF, I turned OpenSEF off and JomInvite worked. But, I really need OpenSEF running on my site, so for now JomInvite does not work. I've tried emailing for support and posted on the forums, yet no one has offered a word of advice after more than week. I know it's Open Source and I shouldn't expect tech support, but I am surprised no one else has run into this. So I thought I'd just post here in case anyone else has OpenSEF and wants to run JomInvite. Unless there is something I am overlooking, the two are not compatible.

It's a pity, as this is the only component of this kind that works with GoDaddy. Bummer!

Under OpenSEF config just go to components and click the exclude box next to JomInvite.
