A Mambot is a small, task-oriented function for Joomla! software. Joomla! mambot intercepts content and manipulates it in some way before it's displayed. Joomla! provides a number of Mambots in the core distribution. Some examples are such are WYSIWYG editors, 3rd party component and module searchers, etc. Joomla! mambots are freely available for download from http://www.joomlahacks.com/joomla/mambots/0,0,0,0,5,0,9/.
