I stumbled on this website that apparently rates website. Silktide SiteScore web service analyze your website based on different factors such as marketing, design, accessibility, experience, and visitor rating.

Just click this url http://www.silktide.com/tools/sitescore and enter your website url. When I tried this web service, it seems to me that it is doing a valid way of analyzing your web site. It shows me the same ranking that's found on Alexa. It also queries google to find out whether your web site is popular.

Now, this type of tools is just always a mere marketing strategy. Silktide is a web development firm. After the web service analyzed your web site, you are presented with a button that you can put on your site. So it's up to you if you want to do that. As for me, I don't care about my site score and I don't want to boast about it (because this site just got 8.1).
