Joomla Tip #5This is another simple tip for new users. This was just recently asked in the forum so I decided to make a Help & Tips article about it. I remember that when I was just starting with Joomla, I was also wondering how to do this. I guess some users thought that this is only possible on the sidebar positions, or probably they're thinking of one module for one position only. Well this tip shows you how to stack up modules in one position.

If you look at this website, I got 2 positions on the top of the main content. I got "TOP" position on the upper left side and "USER1" position on the upper right side before the "LEFT" position where the login module is located.

MULTIPLE MODULES IN ONE POSITION

If you want multiple modules in the same position, all you got to do is publish those modules on the same position. The module content will stack up on that position.

RE-ORDERING THE MODULES

Click Site Modules
Click Site Modules

Click on the position where you want to re-order the modules.
Click on the position where you want to re-order the modules.

Click on the up/down re-order arrows.
Click on the up/down re-order arrows.

Safari problem : Yossarian
In Safari, instead of stacking up correctly, the modules you describe are superimposed, covering eachother...

I tell you because it is giving this problem on your very website.

I hope you use browser other than safari. I only tested this on IE, FF, and Opera. I know in Opera there's some minor glitch in the table listing. I guess I have to download safari then...

thanks!

I just checked my stats and 1.8% of the visitors are safari users. IE still dominates with 52% followed by FF with 36%.

I'll download safari later.
