To improve your Joomla website's performance, just turn on "caching" on the "Cache" tab from Joomla's Global Configuration. When caching is turned on, Joomla creates a static file or "cache" of your website data on the disk. When the static file is found, the system retrieves the data from the disk rather than from the database. This improves performance because it saves system resources by not making redundant SQL calls to the database. And it will also speed up the display time of the pages. You can set cache refresh rate in seconds. If you don't constantly update your contents, you might want to set it longer. And to further improve it, go to all your modules configuration and select "yes" to cache option (not available in all modules).

If you set a dark or image background for your body from your template CSS, the same background will be visible on the popup print preview. To change this, add the following in your template: body.contentpane { background: White; }

A very important task to do when you have a website is
"always make a
backup". For website that collects database data, it is recommended to
do the backup process daily. Fortunately, most webhosting provider have
this feature on their control panel. Just click and it's done or you
can even schedule it. When a
disaster occur, you can just always go through your backup and go from
there. But, this process sometimes is not reliable. For additional peace of mind, this
how-to will focus more on backing up your MySQL database seperately. |

This is a problem for some website that uses a dark background. It's
because, TinyMCE uses the default theme templates CSS by default. If you are editing
on the admin side, just turn off CSS for the TinyMCE and use a different CSS.
Solution:
Go to the parameters of TinyMCE mambot and set Template CSS classes to no.
Specify at Custom CSS Classes another css file, where you respecify classes for the editor.
