Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_query()
« on: November 15, 2005, 05:18:33 AM »

I have started a new thread for this problem as it has never been resolved and is really getting in my way of enjoying the awesome SMF-Bridge.  I REALLY would appreciate any help people could offer...

I have installed the SMF-Bridge 1.0.2a with Joomla 1.0.3 and SMD 1.1 RC1.  The installation was OK and ALL options are set correctly in the SMF-Bridge configuration.  However if I try and login to Joomla I get...

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_query() (previously declared in D:\inetpub\vhosts\boiledsweets.com\subdomains\dev\httpdocs\forum\Sources\Subs.php:234) in D:\Inetpub\vhosts\boiledsweets.com\subdomains\dev\httpdocs\forum\Sources\Subs.php on line 234

I also tried 1.0.1a, 1.0.1b, 1.0.2a.

And have tried the SMF-Joomla 1.3 login mod and it still fails!

WHY?  I would really like to continue to use SMF and get this to work.

I'm having the same problem since I updated to 1.1 RC1.

My config: Joomla 1.0.7, CB RC2, SMF RC2.

When you login you see this error. But when you go to the main page then (index.php) you are logged in.

It isn't our code that is causing this that I can see.  We definitely don't use db_query anywhere in the component code.  You might try uninstalling and then reinstalling the component, and maybe CB as well.

Could it also be because I'm running it local with JSAS?

I found answer to the problem! Smiley
Path to the source files (e.g. w:\www\Joomla\forum\Sources\Subs.php ) must be in the same case as in config file (or same disk if you doing symlink, as was in my case).

For example: "W:\www\joomla\forum\Sources\Subs.php" NOT same as "w:\www\Joomla\forum\Sources\Subs.php"
