After post default template?
« on: November 14, 2005, 09:22:48 AM »

I'm using the SMF 1.0.2a forum component with SMF 1.1 RC1 on Joomla! 1.0.3. For the forum I assigned a different template in Joomla! so I can use the full width of the site (template manager -> asign template to menu item forum (component SMF Forum)).

This works almost perfect. The only thing what goes wrong is that, after someone is posting a message, the default template is loaded when displaying the new posted message. If clicked on the board index again, the assigned template is loaded (as it should).

Is this a bug? And can I fixe this myself?

This looks like a joomla bug to me. Did you notice the urls? I believe the template is tied to Itemid, so check the Itemid if it changed on displaying the new post.

i also have the same problem. I've checked and the Itemid doesn't change. It's purely when you make a post, as soon as you click on a forum or message after to view the correct template is used.it seems joomla is getting somewhat confused by the url and setting it as a default itemid,is there a way to override and hardcode the itemid in joomla?

some further info, could be quite relevant. I've noticed that the url's change after posting. amp; is being added as such:-
http://www.aaksclan.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&?board=1.0
obviously that shouldn't be there, any ideas?
if you put any valid board number in with that url you get the default template but delete the amp; out and everything is normal.

ItemID indeed doesn't change it... it's a strange bug.

On other components everything is oke, just with the SMF forum I get the default template, ONLY after posting a message...
