dude i get the same error. ever since integration 1.1. I use smf version since 1.02. tried the 1.1a bridge and with 1.02 SMF same error. i tried 1.2 beta 3 with 1.02 smf , same error, and now with 1.3 , and same error. ahh it's driving me nuts. I tried using the smf component that simple machinese gave out but that was horrific. it has so many bugs. I really like the mambo hacks verson but this lil thing is getting to me. It happens exactly when i type in the correct absolute path and click save in the upper right hand corner.
if i do any other setting change, it still shows "incorrect path" but doesn't freak out. but if once i put in the correct path. it goes into a 500 internet server error as mentioned above. Hope you can find a fix, i'm not a great php programmer yet so i don't know what to look for. I hope this helps. Don't flame the poor newb please. oh and by the way, everhthing is green as writable goes. i went and chmod 777 everything to make sure.
I'm also having a save configuration error. I've done a new install of SMF, and installed the integration as per the docs. When I go to edit the configuration, it shows the path to SMF as incorrect, so I edit the path to the correct location, and click save. I receive a pop-up that says "The document contains no data". I am then unable to access the configuration component any more. I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling everything and receive the same result each time.
I'm using the latest release of SMF - 1.0.3, Mambo 4.5.2, platform is Win2K server, browser is Firefox 1.0.2 (have tested in IE as well - this doesn't give a pop-up as decribed above, but instead gives a "Cannot find server - The page cannot be displayed" error)
For what its worth, SMF appears to be working within Mambo though, I just can't access the configuration component from the admin interface.
incidentally, the "powered by" at the bottom of the forum shows "Powered by SMF 1.0.0 for Mambo." instead of 1.0.3 like yours does. It is definitely using SMF 1.0.3...seems a little odd.
Whenever I try to get to the Mambo-SMF Integ Config page through Mambo admin, I get 'Error 500: Internal Server Error.' This all started when...
I had Mambo-SMF Bridge v2.2 installed for SMF 1.0.2 on www.certifiedsecuritypro.com running Mambo 4.5.1b. All was running fine, but I got excited about SEF possibilities. I just couldn't leave well enough alone.
I upgraded SMF to 1.0.3. Deleted the Bridge, Login Module and Who's Online Module. Installed 1.2.0 b3 following instructions in the readme.
At this point I could logon to the Mambo admin page and get to the Mambo-SMF Integ Config page. But my forum path was incorrect. It was pointing to the com folder not the forum folder. As soon as I changed the path, I started to get the 500 error. So now I can't even get to the config page to change it back.
Having same problem on a WinXP Pro IIS with Php 4.3.11. Except that I get this errormessage when trying to enter config-page for the SMF-component after a "succesfull" install:
