I just installed joomlaboard 1.1

How do I set it up so users can post a forum message (topic) and create forums?

Never mind. I found out that I had created a category and not a forum. I added a topic, but now when I click on it I see the following:

My "Explorer" friend, I fear you may be quite lost.

This is the forum for a much different (and some would say far superior) board!

Now, for us to help you, you should also add to your posts for help, a little information regarding the system you are using...

EXACT version of Joomla ( or Mambo)
EXACT Version of SMF (here it is 1.1 RC1)

and, very helpful, a link to your site! www.mysite.com

it would be helpful (to you,mostly) if you REGISTERED a user on your site, i.e. joomlahack, password: helpme_nov14

so cowboy or one feeling particularly helpful could look, perhaps even login to see exactly whats going on...

you can always deactivate or delete the "joomlaHack user" after a short time.

doesn't Joomlaboard qualify as a Joomla Component? Wink

I agree though that the OP would probably have better luck at www.tsmf.net for support questions.

Well I believe that this user just confused the forums, thats why I suggested that.

Techically, yes we can talk about that here, but at the component's forum the help will be faster. Roll Eyes
