ExtCalendar?
« on: October 29, 2005, 03:36:26 AM »

Hello i am new to joomla and mambo, it seems awesome and i can't wait to get to know some of the in and outs about it. Okay now my problem, i just downloaded and installed ExtCalendar to my joomla site. The components are in there and have been installed. I can't seem to find the modules though. I looked for them and  i read the read me file that came with it, and it says to look in the site modules area and edit from there. I don't see the modules in there. Is there somewhere else i should be looking at or did they not get installed with the file? Can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Just create the extCalendar menu.

1. Go to Joomla admin.
2. Click Menu >>main menu
3. Click NEW
4. Click Components
5. Select extCal component.

goodluck.

Just a word of warning (and thereby a request for help).
We've just installed Joomla 1.0.5 with ExtCalendar, and the mail-out when a new event is posted is as follows:

The following event has just been posted on your Blahblah ExtCalendar
and requires approval:

Title: "Test Training Event"
Date: "2006-01-05 08:00:00"
Duration: "1 Day "

You can access this event by clicking the link below
or copy and paste it in your web browser.

index.php?option=com_extcalendar&Itemid=38&extmode=event&event_mode=view&extid=1

(NOTE that you must be logged in as an Administrator for
the link to work.)

Regards,

The management of Blahblah ExtCalendar

ie the link is not fully-formed since it's missing the site domain.
Grateful for any suggestions here.
Thanks.

I'm not familiar with extCal code but the mailing process usually is executed from sendmail() or mosEmail() function. If you can look at the code and search for this string, you might be able to figure out what's missing.
