problem with mod_smf login
« on: October 28, 2005, 06:11:59 PM »

I recently applied to the  the mos_smf bridge to my joomla (1.03) and smf 1.0 . I appled this after a clean install of the smf forum to my server. I applied uploaded the 1.02 com_smf and was able to successfull configure it (all installed items done). After installing the mod_smf login I patched the index.php and Sources/Subs-Post.php files as directed. I can log on successfully using the smf login module. I however have 3 major issues.

1) The user menu..which I have set to registered access..no longer shows up.

2) The login menu automatically takes me to to the forum instead of the home page despite  setting the option "Always re-direct to forum on login" to no.

3) And I can only register using the smf forum registration form instead of the CB one. Despite selecting the "cb"  for the registration module to use.

I'm sure I did something fundamentally wrong. I just dont know what.s

1. It means you were not logged in to Joomla.
2/3. You have a problem on installation probably. But I have no clue what it is with just tjese info. Maybe you can just post your url with a demo account so i can check it out.

Use the CB option to synchronise logins with CB

I've seen this reported before. It had something to do with menu option HOME not being the first option or something....check that too
