Okay i installed a joomla template and its working fine www.dreamersls.com/idea/  now my question  is do i have to install the smf forums into the same folder as  the joomla files or can i have it in its own  folder?    or the bridge will do this for me even thought they are no in the same folder?

You'll probably want to install in /idea/forums or /idea/smf, etc.

okay kai i did that i  installed  forums into the same database now it works now how do i install it so  the login is bridged togther? i am totally new to the whole joomla thing lol it seems easy Huh

download the Joomla-SMF component and install it from joomla admin.
Click on Installers, Components.
Follow the installation checklist.

Latest version as of today is 1.0.1b: download that from HERE

My advice is: read the instructions (included _READ_ME.txt) and all the stickies (posts at the top of the forum) very carefully.

Everything is pretty much covered in there, if you run into any problems, come back and let me know.
