Installation steps
« on: October 07, 2005, 03:46:53 PM »

Hi Cowboy,

Could you tell me if when upgrading the joomla-smf bridge, do I need to uninstall the optional login and recent topics modules and install the versions that come with the latest bridge? Or can I leave them where they are and just do the upgrade on the bridge component?

Thanks

I'm sure the documentation says uninstall them first.  And yes you will need to use the new versions..

If there's no upgrade instruction, just uninstall then install the new version. Because it's easier than manually deleting and transfering files. And just like Kai said, it won't take you that long to reconfigure it.
