Ok this should be my last nublish question regarding the discuss bot.
Everything is working as it should but I cant seem to get the bot to find the right forum.
I searched this website and I find a lot of people asking the same question but no one really answers them and there doesnt seem to be a FAQ anywhere in plain sight.

Im almost positive that Im getting the "The boad your specified does not exist" message because Im not using the proper syntax to specify the board I want.

Ive tried: {mos_smf_discuss} and {mos_smf_discuss:Announcments} but neither seems to work. Is there specifc syntax to specify a path?

{mos_smf_discuss} needs a default board in the bot config.
{mos_smf_discuss:Announcments} goes to "Announcments" board (w/c is spelled wrong)

Thanks for the quick reply cowboy. I do understand that but this is where I get mixed up.

{mos_smf_discuss} needs a default board in the bot config.

Does that mean the top level category?
like General Chat > Announcements :: with 'General Chat' being the correct setting.. or do you mean a default topic, in which case 'Announcements' is the proper entry for that field... or do you mean something else completely.

Sorry If I seem daft, its not that this is difficult. Its just that the word "board" isnt specific enough for me to know what you are referring to.

For example in this board, this board is "Joomla-SMF 1.0.x" that what you need to put there. It doesn't matter whether it's a parent board or child board. Category is different, that's not a board (of course). For example here, the category is "Joomla Forum".

Verify if your mambot directory is writable. It's probably not.
