Login Issue
« on: October 06, 2005, 05:56:19 PM »

Hi,

first of all, thanks for the great work youīve done with JoomlaSMF.

Unfortunatally Iīd encountered some strange kind of behavour.

System:
Joomla 1.02
Joomla SMF 1.0.1b
SMF 1.1 RC1
JoomlaSMF-login module

It seems not to be only a session issue between Joomla and SMF.
When users get logged in via SMF login everything seems to be allright, no errors appear and the JoomlaSMF-login module also works great (lastest post link etc.) Users are also logged in at Joomla.

But when users logged in via JoomlaSMF-login module everything seems to get worse. Last post link on forum and login box accure database erros on recent.php line 742 as well as the mark as read link brings up a session error.

Itīs some kind of strange behavour as I state before cause login via forum seems to set all sessions right, but login via JoomlaSMF-login box only set Joomla cookies properly.

Donīt know what to do right now...

Sorian

Edit: Seems to be the same error here, get an session error after logging in via login-module at startpage and hitting "Show unread posts since last visit." after that.

I too am getting weird problem relating to cookies.  Sometimes when I logoff from Joomla it takes me to the SMF.  This is not right, plus my super administrator password has changed to "MAMBOHACKS" on 2 occasions!!!

Why?

Same here. I also installed Joomla-SMF Forum 1.0.1b on SMF 1.0.5 and Joomla 1.0.2.

In my case, SMF login function does not work within joomla. When user registers, the info goes to the joomla database but when user tries to log in, the script seems to be looking for data in SMF. And even if data exists in SMF, the script still doesn't allow anybody in.

Aga,

You should read the instructions and readme files before installing. Because you'll end up wasting your own time. On the decription on the download area and on the README files... it is clearly labeled, version 1.0.1b is "ONLY" for SMF 1.1 RC1.

You should either upgrade to SMF 1.1 RC1 or use the older Mambo-SMF 1.3.1.3.

This was changed for 1.0.1b. And to find out why I did that... just search this board, I already answered that question many times.

EDIT: Ok I search it for you. Here's the link. Please, next time, search first before you ask.
