if you got CPANEL. Go to File Manager. Go to that directory and set it 777.

On any FTP client, click on that directory and change the permission.

Thanks, but does this work on root level? My Joomla index.php file is placed on root and I have off course changed the permission on the file it self.

So, how do I change permission on root level?

Best regards

Hi.
I have the same problem. I also use a webhost like wno456 and so on.
I don't have cpanel or thatlike, so we really have serious problems with the
Joomla main path.
Can someone please help us out? Undecided

If you don't have FTP access then you can download Joomla Explorer which will allow you to change the permissions.

Hi

As said before, we can, ( or at least, I can) change permission on index.php, but not on the main path directory itself. Wink
