Several problems
« on: September 30, 2005, 04:06:33 PM »

ok hopefully my login wont time out again.

I've just upgraded to Joomla, SMF 1.1 RC1 and instaled Joomla-SMF 1.0 with the login module.

Here are my problems:

1. When i login and try to edit my profile i am directed to my SMF forum and told "an error has occured: Only registered members are allowed to access this section. Please login below or register an account" and i am not logged into the forum, it show me as a guest.

2. When i click on "recent posts, updated topics" or try to read my messages i am told "Only registered members are allowed to access this section. Please login below or register an account with DIY Tactical Forum."

3. When i try to logout from joomla if i am on the home page it just refreshes and if i am somewhere else on the joomla site i am taken back to the home page and not logged out.

4. If i click on the forums link that was placed on the main menu when i installed joomla-smf 1.0 it take me to the forum but i am not logged in. But if i click on a link that i have set to open the forum in a seperate window it opend the forum and i am logged in and everything seems fine.

I had none of these problems when i tested the site locally. Any help is greatly appreciated and desperatly needed.

Ok i think i figured out what the problem was.

I applied the patches and it still wasn't working for me. So i decided to check with firebird and everything worked fine. I went into IE and cleared all temp files, cookies, and history and restarted guess what it works great as far as i can tell.

Thanks for your time Cowboy i will be sending you a donation and keep up the great work.
