unwrapped + open in new window ?

is there a recognized way of making the forum come up in a new window (or tab for firefox)?

joomla menu components often have the "on click open" choice, but the joomla-smf component doesn't, and in it's settings there is only wrapped or unwrapped.

duh, ok, st$p$d question.

you just need to make the link to URL then you can choose, instead of linking to the component.

/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26
(copy of the link that linking to the component would produce)

 not /smfforumpath/

otherwise loging out of SMF doesn't log you out of joomla.
and then you can't log out of joomla (it just takes you to the forum page when you try). Bizzarly it was only logging out of joomla when i then logged back into smf, and it then logged straight out of both upon hitting the loggin button.
