So I had to upload a blank copy of config.smf.php as well as the fixed functions.smf.php, and re-ran the component configuration in Joomla. I didn't have to do all the steps as I did in the first installation, but the checklist looks good. Is this okay, and were things screwed up by deleting my config.smf.php?
I also get this database error when trying to access unread posts. Note I only get this when logged in as the admin

Ok, I was wondering if anyone else is still getting this error. I just installed the newest version of the Component (I think... 1.0.2a) on my Joomla 1.0.3. I installed the arcade mod for SMF before trying to post, but I'm getting this error when I try to read a new post. I have uninstalled the Arcade (I can't get it to work anyway bc Joomla won't let me execute the database file) but it still is messed up.
I got it just by clicking on the link to the discussion.
I think mine is a little different though...
