updated SMF from beta to rc1, everything worked fine, now i have installed your bridge. Only problem so far is that the Recent Topics Module is swowing weird things, e.g. "‹óGcVÖTo&f̪ÿh", sometimes the output is longer or shorter. I have reinstalled the hole SMF board, means i have deleted the smf_ database tables and installed the FULL version of SMF because i thought there was a problem with the upgrade. But still the same issue.
I have testet it on another server, there the Recent Topic-Module is working...
That is really weird. haven't encountered that here.. or on the demo. As of now, I have no idea on what's causing that. What is your webserver/platform?

This is a bit hard to resolve because I cannot recreate this issue on any of my installs. The only why you can find out the cause is by debugging the SQL output... to see if it's within the database, or caused by the module, etc...
since you said it's working on you other install, try compairing the settings and configurations for both Joomla and SMF.
yes, i see. I'm currently having a look at it. Debugging with the module acticated won't help because it stops loading when it has loaded the module - e.g. the module uses position user1, so main-content even isn't shown, and debug output isn't shown when i activate the option via admin-panel...
