One thing though, I would like to take the word 'Mambo' out of the copyright info, do you mind if I do that? and if not where can I do that? Also do you think the SMF crowd will be happier with this version of the bridge as I can see the copyright information is intact?
You can take out Mambo, I just did that for thos who are still with Mambo. And I think SMF will be happy now that I removed the Joomla-SMF link beside their copyright.

Where did you remove the (Mambo) from the copyright? I found the string in functions.smf.php, but my guess is that this is a function to patch some other file. I searched SMF's index.php, subs-post.php but did not find it in there...
I made the edit in administrator/components/com_smf/functions.smf.php on line 783. It appears to have worked.
Hmm, yeah that was the file I found earlier, but I figured out why it's not working. My file isn't being saved properly... via FTP, nope... via web control panel: Unable to open /public_html/administrator/components/com_smf/functions.smf.php for writing
Can't change permissions as UID is "apache" server. What to do? Have to contact my host?
