bridge with SMF 1.1.4+ Joomla 1.0.15 + CB 1.1 -> How to uninstall SMF bridge?

Hi,

I uninstalled all I could uninstall, and it seems SMF is totally gone, but as a result, the regular Joomla login page doesn't work anymore. Upon logging in, I get the alert saying I'm not authorized.

The weird thing is, that the CB login module still does work. It's the Joomla login component that fails.

Is there anything I'm simply forgetting to change back to the before-SMF-state?
I've replaced the index.php file with the index.php~jsmf-backup~ file.

One clue I was given, but not sure how to deal with it, was when I uninstalled the cb-smf plugin: it said "Failed", even though the plugin disappeared from the plugin list.

Any ideas anyone? I want to upgrade CB to 1.2, and get rid of the forum before I do so. (and retain login possibility via Joomla login component).
