Joomla, SMF what are you hacking? And can it help me?
« on: February 09, 2009, 07:45:22 AM »

Hi all!

I am running an Age of Conan Guild website/community over at www.aocnorskefolk.com.

Just found this site and it looks like I must lean on you guys for help. However I have not yet understood if you make bridges for newer Joomla versions.

Version Information:
Joomla 1.5.9
SMF Version 1.1.8 (just updated)
Joomla-SMF Forum Integration Version: Noen yet
PHP Version: 5
Apache Debian server

Configuration description:
So far I have not allowed members to log into Joomla. They only log in to the SMF forum. No integration is done there.

So if you supply integration between my Joomla and SMF what I would like is that the user database is handled by SMF - this is because I have SMF setup to share its users with another standalone application called "phpraidplanner".

I do remember back in the days there was a bot that would allow you to comment on articles from the frontpage, and made them available as separate forum posts.

Thats what I really want.

Any help or am I beating a dead horse here?
