So, I have been scouring this board for info on a J1.5 bridge, but everything I find is from the start of 2007. Well, it's 2008 and J1.5 is released as stable and being used in production sites.

Is there a bridge coming for SMF??

There is not coming an JSMF bridge for Joomla! 1.5. The development has been stopped in June 2007. There is also not coming an JSMF bridge for SMF 2.0

Howdy!
I too was looking for a Joomla 1.1.5 bridge. With a second host, I tried Fireboard. It evidently lacks documentation to help a guy get started with it. On a dark template, the smilies look terrible too! But that isn't what I came to talk about.

My question is why no bridge for Joomla 1.1.5?

My host, when asked to supply a bridge, installed something called JFusion.
I can't begin to figure out how to work with that thing either!
And documentation? There isn't any I can discern!

Sure ain't as simple as I figured it would be!

I think you have got the version number confused; it's Joomla 1.5 and SMF 1.1.5. To anwser your question, read this: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=184558.msg1174172#msg1174172 and this: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=184557
