How to link a component to a menu.

I am a newbie with Joomla and don't see any simple way to link a component to a menu. I see this question has been asked many times without a definitive reply.  Huh

Can someone please reply and let me know how it is done. I thank you in advance.

Well, I guess this forum is a waste of space, eh? I was looking at the large number of unanswered questions there have been in the last few months and there are an awful lot of them without any kind of reply on them. I reckon I'll take my question elsewhere. Bye now...
