CB registration fields to SMF fields

I have a site running:
CB 1.1
Joomla 1.0.14
SMF 1.1.4

I am currently using the CB registration and login system. I have created 2 x custom fields - Location and Date of Birth.

I would like to get these fields to automatically populate in the SMF fields of same name (I have created a custom SMF Location field and theres a builtin DOB field).

Any ideas? Or should I just use the SMF registration module? I like the CB registration module as its easier for admins to maintain etc.
