mod_recenttopics don't show recent posts instead it shows ?????

Hello everybody

I have an installation of Joomla! 1.0.14 RC1 also smf 1.1.4 and cb 1.1

I have installed the module from joomlahacks mod_recenttopics version 2.0.2
The site use Greek characters and language.So does SMF.

The problem i have is that the module instead of showing the post name it shows Huh HuhHuh and the name of the poster(that is in latin character) correct.So i guess it is encoding subject.I have tried everything from changing encoding to phpMyAdmin to changing the output format of the module but yet nothing and i am driving crazy.Any help would be really appreciated

just because of this problem, i use recent post 1.7
anyone can explain how to use 2.0.2

I tested 1.7 for me no results again the question marks what the hell is going on please someone help

@Trivium: Do you use the Joomlahacks bridge? Recent topics won't work without it.

Yes of course thanks for your reply i paste you here the information provided by the about panel of joomlahacks bridge

Your Joomla version is: 1.0.14 RC1
Your SMF version is: 1.1.4
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2
Latest Joomla-SMF version: 2.0

Also i have unpatched smf files before installing the mod yet nothing works it is really bothering and i need this module

Weird, The bridge should not work at all; JSMF 2.0.2 is not compatible with Joomla 1.0.13 and higher. First of all I recommend you to upgrade Joomla to 1.0.15 and JSMF to 2.0.2.1.

Thanks for your replies first of all

I updated both Joomla to 1.1.15 kai smf jsmf to 2.0.2.1 from the link you have at your signature locutus.Yet nothing thus it fixed a problem i had with remember me in login.Yet the question marks remain and it is really bothering.
I forgot to mention that in a test server i had with the same things on it it was working perfect.
