Bridge login doesn't do anything
« on: March 17, 2008, 12:43:31 AM »

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.15
Your SMF version is: 1.1.4
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0 RC3
Latest Joomla-SMF version: 2.0

OK, so I just installed Joomla and I've been trying to get this bridge to work. I've gotten everything installed, but as soon as I try and log in through the bridge, it just sends me back to the front page and does nothing.

However, if I go to my SMF directly and log in, then refresh my front page, all of my user info shows up as if I am logged in. This is what it looks like if I log in to the SMF directly without the bridge:

But, if I click on the link for the bridge component, it will log me out and go to the home page, and look like I wasn't even logged in:

There are no error messages or anything, it just takes me back out to the home page logged out.

I did a search, but I didn't really turn up anything that I found useful. Any ideas or a thread I could check out?? Thanks in advance!

JSMF 2.0 RC3 won't work with Joomla 1.0.15. Check my signature for the latest JSMF version.

Ok, so the bridge works, now I've run into something new....

This comes up when you go to reply to a topic.

Also, some threads won't open when you click on them. You click and it will not load anything, like the thread is gone. I've localized it to threads with more than one page that won't load. One page threads load fine.

Your instructions state to put that file in the Joomla root folder, correct?

That produced no effect if that was the correct place to put it. Your patch also states that this is for 1.0.13 users, and I have 1.0.15.

If that is going to make the difference, perhaps I should just reinstall using 1.0.13??

Thanks

That's the one I downloaded.

I had 2 questions about it though.

1. Putting that php file in the root folder doesn't do anything. Is there somewhere else I should be putting it?\

2. This patch states that it is for 1.0.13 and I am using 1.0.15, so can I still use this patch?

Thanks

I realize this, and I already stated that I downloaded the A version. I'm just looking to get the two questions answered from my previous post.

Thanks
