getting forum to display on left panel as well (resolved)
« on: March 03, 2008, 06:12:13 AM »

so I have removed all modules that display on on the left and right panels. the forum automatically filled in on the right panel but not the left. the forum seems a little cramped and I was wondering if there was a way to make it fill in the on the left panel side as well.

Another issue I have is that my joomla template header gets put into the header  of the SMF forum when I goto the forum in the wrapper. was curious how to stop it from doing that and just use the header that is on the template for SMF.

any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Do you have something like  this in your joomla template:
Code:
                  <?php if (mosCountModules('left')) { ?>
                      <div>
                        <?php mosLoadModules 'left' ); ?>
                      </div>
                      <?php ?>

If not, then adapt this code to your needs.

You should edit your SMF template. BTW did you already try the unwrapped option in JSMF?

thanks for the help you got me pointed in teh right direction and I figured it out. played around with the template file and added simialr to this
Code:
<?php if (mosCountModules"left" ) == 0) { ?>
<?php } else { ?>
normal alignment code here
<?php ?>
as for the other issue I think its a little bit moer complex gonna just start it in its own thread as I have resolved the main issue in this thread.
