Problem in SMF with CB Plugin. Help

I have a problem.

I have Joomla with  SMF 2.x installed and Joomla Hacks with CB and the CB plugin for SMF.

When I change my users member group in SMF they can't login anymore. I have to manually change their password to something like 123456 and then ask them to change their password again. I think this is something with the encryption of the password.

How can I change my members Membergroup without changing their password?
