Joomla login is adding a duplicate domain (taking me to abc.com/abc.com)

Doesn't happen to everyone, but sometimes when peopel log in they are taken to www.domain.com/www.domain.com.  I've tried setting the login to go to frontpage and also the forum, but happens to both.

Any ideas?
