Can't Login

Hi.

I'm using SMF 1.1.4, Joomla 1.0.13 (no CB) and JSMF 2.0.2.1.
I wished to set up a forum for the registered users of my website.
Everything went smoothly during installation. Users were all synchronized.
But after publishing the JSMF component, the registered users can't login in through SMF.

Can anyone help me with this? Any reply is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.13
Your SMF version is: 1.1.2
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2

I just noticed JSMF bridge is reporting the wrong SMF version. I've actually got v1.1.4 installed.

hello,
same problem here!
Version Information:
Joomla version is: 1.0.13
SMF version is: 1.1.4
Joomla-SMF version: 2.0 RC3  wrapped

I used to run the forum with another bridge and it worked OK ,
Now with this bridge everything went perfect during installation but when some one logs in it does not work .
when I access the SMF or joomla directly then it works ,

when I tried to verify to Synchronize Joomla and SMF users(user name or real name)I also encounter the following error:

Failed:Error verifying user synchronization.: db_error:Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation \'=\' SQL=SELECT count(*) FROM smf_members


any help would be much apreciated!

For those who are using an old version of the Bridge with Joomla! 1.0.13. Please upgrade to JSMF version 2.0.2.1 (the old versions are not working with J! 1.0.13) More info can be found on the forums.

well I upgrated to the version you say but I still get the same problem.

the instalation is localy on XAMPP for Windows Version 1.6.4

phpMyAdmin - 2.11.1

PHP Version 5.2.4

My previous instalations are old versions that have been upgrated over the years to the latest.
do you thing if I start from scrach with a new one I will have better results!

Found the issue, you can NOT have the forum Menu set to "Private" or it will throw this error.  Can this be looked at and fixed for next release?

When you have read the Forums you had know that there is no Developer for the JSMF bridge any more. Think that there is not coming an new release of the Bridge. On of the main reasons that there is not coming an new release is the GPL licence of Joomla! More info can be found on Joomla.org and Simplemachines.org

And there is not coming an release for J! 1.5 or SMF 2.0

@ Simplemachines.org/Joomlabridge.org you will find an great bridge for Mambo. And there is coming also an bridge for SMF 2.0. This Bridge is all ready in development Wink

Search the forums there is an work around  (small tip you can publish a menu on an non existing position in your template)
