Backslash \ in signature\'s

Hello,

I am using the latest version of CB, Version 1.1.12 of Joomla, and 1.1.14 of SMF. I'm also using the latest version of the Joomla-SMF bridge.

When a user modifies a signature the following results

"Why is it that when we talk to God we\'re said to be praying, but when God talks to us we\'re schizophrenic?"

I realize that the \ slash's are used in programming to denote that its an apostrophe (or other coding used character) rather than a coding character. However, why is this appearing as it is?

This problem was present when we were using 1.1.12 of SMF as well.

I tried searching through here to find similar problems but I couldn't. Is there anyway around this besides removing all apostrophe's from signatures?
