SMF registration does not work even if it's enabled
« on: September 24, 2007, 08:40:11 AM »

First, here's what i am using:

Joomla version : 1.0.13 Stable
SMF version : 1.1.2
Joomla-SMF version : 2.0.2.1

my website: www.emergenetwork.org/home

I have enabled SMF registration only but everytime i hit register, it uses the joomla registration system.  try it out.

Would anyone have an idea how i may address these errors?

Many thanks,

walasiya

I apologize for bringing back this older topic, but after a hour of searching I cannot find the answer or even question I'm looking for. This topic has finally hits it though and it's the only one I've been able to find.

I'm having the same exactly problem. The Login and Registration settings in the bridge are not carrying over to the actual website. I would like SMF Registration and Login, however even when those two options are checked in the Joomla-SMF Forum component Configuration I still get the Joomla Login and Registration pages on the website.

Joomla 1.0.13
SMF 1.1.4
JSMF 2.0.2.1

There is open registration on my website and you can go there for any information that you might need. It's a test site for a potential site conversion. http://www.ceribis.com/joomla

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm lost to find any answers at this point.

I had this exact same problem, and here is what fixed it.

The SMF bridge does not include the Joomla-SMF login module. That needs to be installed separately (can be downloaded from this site). Once that is installed and activated, the bridge will work correctly with the login and registration. Took me a while to figure this one out Smiley
