Hi there sandeep,

i had a similar problem, installed the joomlaboard but could not work out how to create the forum items themselves..

finally worked out how to do it about 15mins ago

you have to goto components>joomlaboard forum> then into forum administration.

click NEW and make sure TOP LEVEL CATAGORY is in the box for Parent
then give the catagory a name... now these are the catagory names not the forum item names.. for instance.

RULES is a catagory
'Official' & 'unofficial' are items in that catagory.

once you have a catagory name, click on the advanced tab (we can return to the other settings in a second).

in here you need to decide what level your catagory is going to be for.. if the visitors/guests are going to read all items in this catagory, choose 'Everybody'
if it is only people who have registered choose 'all registered users'

save that catagory.

next create a NEW catagory/forum from the same menu.
this time, choose the drop down and choose the catagory name you just created, follow the same procedure but this time what will happen is that this item is a forum section.

once you have set the permissions as we discussed earlier, you then need to publish both the 'catagory' and the 'catagory item'.  do this on the main page of joomlaboard administration, you will see on the screen showing you both items a X next to Published.. click on it on each item, so the X turns to a published sign.

now go preview your forum..

do the same for each section of your forum, ensure you select the forum catagorys 1st before creating forum items.

hope this helps, funny really i came here because i was having a issue with creating a modirator on just this forum! i keep getting this error 'Error number to include in your report: : SB001-up-02NoDO' when clicking on forum profile?

and also in user administrator in the forum control panel, the web page hangs if i try to enter a signature or try to put an account to modirator.

I would be interested if you can let me know if you also have this problem once your board is working?

Thanks and good luck.
