Sessions not closing

I have been trying to get help on why website bogs down the cpu.  Here is the site with horoscopes.  http://dailyhoroscopes.com   Here is what I have been told, I am not a programmer.  I want to fix this problem.

were on the site as they go to different pages/modules the tables are left open, so like there'll be only 4 users but over 800 table sessions open, he thinks the problem is Mambo not closing the sessions out.

Is anyone else having this problem.  How do I fix it?

mambo session has lifetime which usually last for couple of minutes of inactivity. But I don't really understand what your friends told you regarding "800 table sessions"?

I am almost certain it is the events component module which displays the daily horoscopes.  It has about 1400 horoscopes loaded.  I was told it doesn't have the command to close session/table.   I have tried all the cache and session time limits.
