Cannot get Bridge to work for the life of me

Ok I have read a lot on the forums and everyone else seems to have this working but I cannot get it working for the life of me.

I am trying to upgrade a site but gave up on that and created a new database and completely new system and it is basically doing the same thing.

Joomla 1.10.3
SMF 1.1.3
JSMF 2.0.2_1
PHP 4.47

I installed SMF then installed Joomla.  I synced the users up and I see the SMF users in the Joomla admin panel so that works.  I cannot log on as any SMF users they just come back as wrong username / password when I attempt to login.

During the install should I be be able to click "Patch SMF sources" and "Patch Joomla Sources"  Because those two links seem to do nothing, but I thought they did something the first time I attempted this.

Again I started from scratch created an entirely new database and directories with no luck.  Please help Sad

I cannot patch the Joomla Source files or the SMF Source files, I clicked 10,000 times and it doesn't work.  Worked the first time....

Please read the manual again.
Sounds like you missed a few steps including the login module for the bridge.

The bridge zip file also has files "patched" and that is covered in the manual.

Now if you running .13 you HAVE to update the files with the patch created by a forum member.
