Support and the direction of Joomlahacks
« on: September 11, 2007, 01:29:04 PM »

Hi Editor (cowboy),

Why is there now the Google adsense in the post on the right? I find it my self a little bit ignoring.

And can you also tell us how you see the future of the Joomlahacks Bridge after Wolverine decided to stop as lead developer. Think that most users are very happy with the modifications at the bridge by Kevin.

You asked some experience users to help you out? Think it is not motivating that there is no help around from the Forum owner and Bridge owner. The only thing we see is that you put more adsense on the forums.

I have supported the Bridge for a while now and after I stopped moderating I decided to come back and help people out where I can here on the forums.  But how it goes for now it is not motivating to help around here any more. Please Give the users of the JSMF bridge the requested Support and Information of the direction you want to go with Joomlahacks.

I getting the impression you are keeping the forums alive to earn money on it? Sorry this is not only my opinion but I received some mails and PM’s from some of the users.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards
Daan   Aka Livebox

PS: sorry for this hard words Wink

Josh,
Thanks for picking this project up. You've kept this project alive! I know i haven't been around as much as how I used to. But my reasons then are the same as your reasons now.

Goodluck!

To all new users,
I might find some time in the coming months to continue where Wolverine left off. I will also try to give user support when I can, when i'm online. So please bare with me.

To all the expert users,
It would be a big help if you can help new members in the JoomlaHacks community forum as well.

Thanks.
Cowboy

Daan,

Thank you for your post. The problem right now is I am so occupied by my day job. And I don't really have a lot of time to offer support right now. So it's just up to the community to help each other until I get some free time after my job contract.

As far are the ads are concerned, it's been there. And It just have to be there just like all other websites. I have responsibility to pay for the monthly rate on my dedicated server. It's not like I'm getting rich here, otherwise I would have just quit my day job and focus on this. I hope everyone understands, otherwise this website will just go offline.

I am looking forward to continue development and improvements, but I really can't say when. And I really thank everyone who has helped in providing support on the bridge. I've done it initially by myself with no help from anyone. And I did it for more than a year. But you know, this is not a career, this is a hobby.
