3 or more login types

I'm still fairly new to Joomla, so I would really appreciate any help on this question about user types.

When a regular web surfer logs in to the site I created a apecial menu for that class of user. I also created additional "special" access menu items for advertisers on our web site. The way I have it set up is that Author and above users see the special menu items.

However, I have two classes of advertisers. What I want to do is set up the especial menu system so that Advertiser Class 1 sees special menu items A and B. Then Advertiser Class 2 would see special menu items A, B, C, and D.

For permissions I do not want to give any of these advertisers anything higher than Author status on the front end.

Can this be done with CB or another component? I do have the Community Builder plugin installed (but I have not paid for the documentation). Are there any references that you can point me to to help me set this up?
