Help with Joomla-SMF conversion

Hello. I am fairly new to Joomla! and very new to SMF. I am looking to install the Community Builder component and the Joomla-SMF bridge with my Joomla! site and itegrate that with my existing forum site (phpBB 2.0.22), and my exisiting chat software (V3 Chatroom Pro). My version of Joomla! 1.0.12 is actually the Vortex theme from Rocket Theme and was installed via their rocket launcher package.

From my research I have found that a phpbb to SMF converter does exist and I will be using that for conversion. Below are the steps that I am plan on following to accomplish the above so if there is anyone that can either confirm or offer a better plan of attack I would appreciate it very much.

1. Backup up forums
2. Run phpbb to smf conversion tool
3. Test forums and chat
4. Install, configure & test community builder component
5. Install, configure & test community Joomla-SMF component
6. Upgrade Joomla to 1.0.13
