Site doesn't do anything ?
« on: August 20, 2007, 01:37:31 PM »

Quote from: My Setup
Setup for JSMF:

JOOMLA: 1.0.13
SMF: 1.1.3
JSMF: 2.0.2

Hi All,

Basically i have installed Joomla and worked on my template for it, all went well.

I installed SMF into the same database, installation sucessful.

I installed JSMF, again ... installation sucessful.

But basically when i try to log-in on my joomla homepage, all that happens is that the page refreshes and doesn't log me in. Nore does it log me into the forum.

I have also changed my password through joomla and received the new password via e-mail thnking i'd forgotten it, so tried my username and new password only to be told my account doesn't exist, same with my old account details to.

Luckily this was a test install but this is a test install for transfering a club of 2000+ members across to, so it needs to be almost bulletproof.

Can anyone tell me what's happened ?

I'm sure it worked for a few minutes then decided not to, but i cant be sure on that, i can't remember.

If someone can help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Luke.

P.S. Test install can be found at http://www.joomla.fire-host.co.uk/125

I have the same issue.  If I uninstall Joomla-SMF you can log into Joomla again.  It appears to be a bridge issue.

I've done a little more hunting than before and i think (not 100%) that we both need the 2.0.2-1 updated JSMF.

Instead of re-installing apparently you can just change smf.class.php but for some it wont let me at the moment. Joomla installation always seem to fox my FTP program.

Yes, if you are getting that logout issue it is most likely that you are not using the correct bridge version.  You have to have JSMF 2.0.2.1 for Joomla 1.0.13.  Joomla! changed their password hashing which required a hack to make the bridge work again.
