Joomla-SMF Recent Topics 2.0.2 - Hack
« on: March 17, 2007, 12:35:19 PM »

Is there a way to get the "Joomla-SMF Recent Topics 2.0.2" to start a level lower in the tree and only show activity for a specific board/category, not the entire forum?

Example: I only want to show recent posts for the General Category, not the rest of the site?

Can someone tell me how to do that?

There has to be a way to start the module at a specific level and below. I just want it to do exactly what it does now, but just for a specific board. I don;t want it to show recent topics for the entire forum.

I know it is impossible for the developers to know what I named my boards. But there has to be a way to do this.

I'm sorry, but as a beginner I am not even sure what you're telling me. Obviously I am somewhat proficient, but wihtout specifics, I will get lost. All I want is the current module to do what it does already, but just for a specific category. If there is a way to get that information from a search query, how would I put that in a module position?

Please use the search option. This is explained several times on this forum.

Search on exclude_boards

Ok it appears to have worked perfectly.
Well... almost.

1) I see this inside the module window now.
What does that mean?

2) What if someone adds a board (rare)? I'll need to add that exclusion too right?
