I'm having a problem with my Joomla-SMF installation.
I have followed the Manual word for word, and the installation of both SMF and Bridge Component went fine. But when I try and login to Joomla now, I enter my Username and Password, hit "Login" and the page just refreshes and I'm not logged in, there are no error messages, nothing.
I have also tried using the Jooma-SMF login module but I get the exact same results with this (and I am changing the Configuration of Joomla-SMF Bridge in the Administrator area when I switch between Joomla login and Joomla-SMF login).
I really don't know what is wrong here, this is the second time I've tried this on a fresh install, and I've tried it on a couple of other webhosts and I get the same problem every time.
Is there something obvious I'm missing? And please, please, please do not refer me to the manual, I have read that thing word for word and there is not a single thing in it about the problem I am having. I have also spent 2 hours raking through these forums to see if I can find the solution and I can't (I'm not the only person having this problem by the looks of it, but all the other threads have no answers).
EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I go to my forum installation directly (i.e. unwrapped), I can login fine. When I do this, I then go back to my Joomla installation and the Joomla-SMF Login Module is now showing me as logged in, but the standard Joomla login module is still asking for a Username and Password.

i think you have a problem while you don't use the new bridge. passwords and usernamestorage have been changed in joomla 1013 so the old bridge you use don't work anymore. try to work with the new one
I have this same problem. I am using the 2.0.2.1a bridge. Most users are fine, a handful are messed up. These users can login directly to the forum but not through the bridge. At first I had these users use the lost password link. This didn't work either. Now these users are getting a blank screen. When I look at the source I see this:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /><script>alert('This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot the password click on \\\"Lost your Password\\\" and a new password will be sent to you. /home/****/******.com/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php createJoomlaUser 577'); window.history.go(-1);</script>
These users are unable to login from the mod_login or mod_smf_login. My account works fine.
It's some kind of setting problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it works now. I changed so many thing.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem with Joomla 1.0.13 and JSMF 2.0.2 I just updated to JSMF 2.0.2.1 (actually overwrote smf.class.php) and no login problem anymore
