joomla latest stable and smf bridging
« on: August 04, 2007, 08:55:00 AM »

Hi

I have installed on my website Joomla 1.0.13 Stable release and also have the latest version of simple machines forums. I have downloaded the jsmf bridge.

I currently have a set up where users log in once and have access to our chatrooms, forums (simple machines latest version)and efiction latest version.

However, I am looking to give our users a members area using the same log in so they go right into the joomla to use it so far the bridging works as Forums/Chat and the fiction is a sibling folder to the forums. The joomla I have uploaded inside the chat.

I would like to know if the bridge would be affected by other bridging and also can u point me to some documentation so I can bridge it successfully.

Sorry for my ignorance etc, I am a newbie.

Many thanks

Hi There

Thank you very much this has done the trick Smiley. It works for all the latest stuff I have got.

I signed in with my usual user name, not admin so I could see if it appeared or not and it did.

I remembered to install the updated index.php and it works.

Thank you. I feel very happy as I can now offer my site members a members area  Grin, plus chat, fiction and forums with one log in system.

best wishes
Kate
