Does this bridge sync passwords from the smf_members to the jos_users? I just imported my old DB from SMF site to new Joomla-wrapped forum and it worked fine, but there are no passwords in the Joomla database - names and usernames are there though
looking for help in installation which is not covered in the installation guide. when i upload com_smf bridge to install in joomla, it says Another component is already using directory: "/var/www/html/components/com_smf/"
is there a conflict? should i install into another directory, or rename a directory? thanks in advance
i found another thread which had the same issue so i moved my query there so i don't double post.

Joomla 1.0.13 SMF 1.1.4 I patched to 2.0.2.1 and don't have forum login issues anymore, but I have much bigger problem - what is supposed to be my Joomla homepage address opens SMF homepage. I have tried all possible login options in component config, but nothing seems to work. I can only see my Joomla site when I set that SMF is wrapped. Even when I set redirect to Joomla on logout doesn't work.
Thanks so much Kevin... I had been pulling my hair out
I 'm curious... is this an official release? Why is id not in the DL area or on the front page? Just wondering... Thanks again,
Aaron.
When you read the forums you will notice that the Developer and those how did the Support for the Bridge are inactive. Wolverine has stopped developing the Bridge. I have stopped with official support on JH. We both have announced this several months ago on the forums. See sticky on this forums
And there is no one that has picked up the project. Kevin updated the bridge for J! 1.0.13. But there are no update’s planed in the near future so far I know.
This is one of the main reasons many users that want a bridge for SMF are migrating to Mambo. And there is also coming an Mambo bridge for SMF 2.0
Great update; it fixed my 'remember me' problem, where the Community Builder login wouldn't remember a user when the cache time was passed or the browser was closed. Sadly that it's not in the official downloads, because I think everyone with J1.0.13 should have this version installed.
When you search the forums you will find the Sollution... It has somthing to do with the smiley popup. it has been fixed in the a version off the Bridge
hello everyone! i have same problems...:/ i have: -Joomla 1.0.13 Stable - SMF 1.1.4 - SMF bridge 2.0.2.1
everything installed and i not have error's but login to SMF forum not work. i patched smf and joomla files and integrated joomla user with smf. Please help me....
