Compliments for your big work!
I have only a problem. How can i sync Community builder avatars with SMF?
I have configured the bridge 2.0.2.1 to work with CB, works all fine except the avatar.
Now when i select an avatar for my CB profile that don't appears in SMF. How can i obtain this?
Thanks.

Thanks for the component...

however, when I installed it, the frontpage of my Joomla website is replaced with my SMF forum.  For some reason, I cannot get my frontpage back...it is simply my SMF forum that pops up.  Originally, I had my Joomla Frontpage and users would access the forum through the main menu link.  Now, the frontpage IS the forum...WHY IS THIS?  I need my frontpage back as it has all of my news on it.

any help would be appreciated!  Thank!

Ok, just updated from 2.0.2a to this, and it has re-introduce the smiley pop up stripping problem.  Other than that, works fine Joomla 1.0.13 and SMF 1.1.4.  Any chance of a fix for the popup smiley stripping though, a la the 2.0.2a patch modified for this version?

Ok, I am having this same problem.  I have to set up a forums application that has usergroup control and I have used SMF in the past with JSMF, so I thought I would try it again.

I installed the following:

Joomla 1.1.12
SMF 1.1.3
JSMF 2.0.2.1

I have also tried it with JSMF 2.0.2 and with SMF 1.1.4, my original choice.  However, either way, my front page is hijacked by SMF.  Any solutions to this?

Ok, I fixed my problem I had with the forums loading on the front page.  I do not know what caused it, but after doing a full re-install piece by piece of my website, component by component, module by module, the finished product worked perfectly.  Somewhere, something went wrong, but I do not think it was JSMF related.

However, I do have one question.  Does this version of JSMF have JACL support?  It would be real nice if I don't have to teach my clients how to place their users into a a specific usergroup in the Joomla admin AND in the forums admin.  Most of the time, they are too incompetent to do just one.....

hi guys, i've trying all but i have many problems.
Joomla version is 1.0.13, with smf 1.1.4.
I've installed in same db.
In jmsf installation i see two patches, i checked only first, cause if i check second two my forum css works bad.
But i've an other greatest problem, when i login in site it redirects to forum.
In mainpage i've installed for login "mod_smf_login".
Further i've many error when i click "joomla_smfForum/about" in administration, like this:
Quote
Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /.../cms/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php on line 2041
Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /.../cms/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php on line 2042
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /.../cms/administrator/components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php on line 2043

Can u help me??
thx.

Joomla version: 1.0.13
SMF version: 1.1.4
JSMF version: 2.0.2.1

When trying password recovery, it doesn't initialize db prefix in updatePass($id, $pass) of admin.smf.class.php

if I add
        global $jsmfConfig;
after
        global $database;
and change line
            "WHERE id = '$smf_id' ";
to
            "WHERE ID_MEMBER = '$smf_id' ";

it works better

Joomla 1.0.13
smf 1.1.4
cb 1.1.0

I have been reading, re-reading, and re-reading again for ages, and nothing is getting me past the "code to be patched not found in..." problem when I try to patch the Joomla source file (index.php). permissions on both the root directory and the file are set to allow them to be written to, but the error is not about permissions.

Basically, will this bridge work with the above configuration???
