ladies and gents. i have been fighting with this damn smf forum copyright error for days now. i have redone the themes, index.template.php, checked lang files, etc. none of it is causing the problem. i have asked for 3 days over at smf, only to be finally told to ask over here. below is the link to the thread on smf forums and everything i was suggested to do, and did. someone pleasse help a fellow j! lover out. thanks.
it is technically wrapped due to the bridge, but you can also visit the standalone via . the theme im using is the default smf theme, with only the css file modified to match colors.
thank you for your help, this error is killing me.

You need the theme_copyright() function somewhere in the template... Check if you have uploaded all the templates and language files.
it is already there. and ive already tried other themes, replaced all files, etc. its all in the smf topic link i provided, which is why i didnt go ahead and reiterate it here.

can't it be that you tried to remove the SMF logo in the header and also wiped out the copyright?
Did you use the search function to search the forums? This question is also asked several times. And about the support every one is giving support in his or her free time. We all have to be patient
There are several things that can cause this problem. -Incorrect template -Incorrect language files.
When I saw your forum. It was not in wrapped mode so the problem is in your SMF install/files. So there you have to search the problem

of course ive used the search forums. for days now. there is no topic that pertains to my problem. ive also spent days over at the smf forums with their support guys analyzing my problem and having me do 50 different things, none of which worked. AGAIN TO REPEAT MYSELF - themes , language files, everything is ok. the copyright call is within the template, the language files are untouched. the problem only arose when i bridged it with this bridge, hence why im asking here for support.
im not trying to be rude at all, but it seems like people do not want to read what i type, and just offer blanket solutions - WHICH IS NOT THE CASE HERE.
There are a few options First test without the bridge then you really know if the bridge is the problem!!! When you still this problem then it is SMF related an when you have only this problem with the Bridge just install the bridge again. There no problem with the copy write text of the Bride version 2.0.2 (this is tested by the Joomlahacks test team before releasing this version, also many users at this moment are using this bridge and not having this problem!! That is the reason I’m thinking that it is a template or language file related problem)
And Yes I read the topic on the SMF boards… And also your reply’s about Joomlahacks.

Good luck
livebox, i appreciate your help man, i really do. its jsut so damn frustrating to have to bounce back and forth between support forums each day, hoping to get an answer. meanwhile
combine that with the fact that ive done everything suggested already by both support forums, and maybe you can understand why im agitated when i get the same suggestions each time.
again, i dont mean to be hostile, but it is quite frustrating. hell im more than willing to pay someone to help me out here, but you are literally the only person i see offering support on here.
ok, i owe you an apology livebox. i replaced ALL files from the smf install except settings.php, and the copyright is back in effect.
only issue i had was patching the joomla files after reinstalling the bridge. it said it couldnt find the code to patch, but i imagine thats because it was already patched.
