OK-What do I do now?

 Tongue  I am trying to install smf-it's on my joomla site-I am just trying to fix the database problem...

I have a permission problem-not able to access my (public folder-incorrect path) and

on the install screen (in joomla) it says I have the wrong path and the wrong smf table prefix

uuuuugggggghhhhh S.O.S. !!!!!!!!!!!!



I hope these are simple fixes and related to one another...

Did you look for directions and read them?

What versions of SMF and Joomla are you working with?

I'm reading EVERYTHING as fast as I can. It looks like I have a problem finding the absolute path. Everything says to access my sfm administration and copy the value under server settings.  So how do I access my sfm admin?  And yes! I am reading! I just don't understand some of the things I read.

Forgot to add...Joomla is 1.0.12  and smf is 2.02

There is no SMF version 2.02... are you referring to the version of the JSMF bridge which is 2.0.2? You should have SMF v1.1.2.

I'm not sure how you installed Joomla and SMF... but usually the paths are something like:

<webroot>/ for Joomla! and

<webroot>/forums/ for smf.

The path is the actual directory where you installed the software on your webserver. On my server, for example, it is /var/www/website/smf_forums. If you installed it, you should know where it is.
