SMF theme/template issue

G'day to you folks.
I am using Joomla! 1.0.12(stable version), SMF 1.1.3 and the JSMF bridge 2.0.2. Php, php-mysql and MySQL packages are the latest.
I have no problem in either database or the page itself, but theme/temnplate. The strange thing is that i can view the forum with its theme/template inside my network but, however, if I try to access to my forum from outside no theme/template is viewable meaning just a page with a white background and no images. No images for the buttons/banner either.
I have chmod'd the template folder into read-/writable for apache/www-data.

Could anyone give me a quick clue where the problem relies on? I have tried to find a good solution (even in FAQs) but I just haven't been able to find a solution. I usually try to find a problem by myself but this case might be difficult. A complete solution is not necessary but appreciated.
